Test your karaoke

It would be better to check your karaoke once you created it.

1. Open the ASS and your video in Aegisub and play it from the beginning of the video.
2. Make sure the lyrics appear at the right place on the screen.
3. Try to sing to your karaoke sub. If you don’t want to do it aloud, at least do it in your imagination. This is still the best way to judge if a timing is good.

If you are not satisfied with the result, modify your subtitle file and do the test again.

4. After that check that everything is alright in a video player. Open your favorite video player – we recommend mpv as that is the player also used by KM app – and load your video.
5. Load the subtitles by adding the .ass file that you’ve just created. MPV player does this automatically if the name of video and ass are identical.
